Somatic Yoga with Charlotte Douglas

About:

Reconnect to your body. Regulate your nervous system. Restore your sense of self. A 7-week term of somatic yoga to slow down, listen and feel more at home in yourself. Each week offers space to explore gentle, mindful movement, breath and stillness – developing a
deeper awareness of your body and learning to respond to what you need, rather than push through.

If you’re looking for a space to feel calmer, more grounded and more connected, this is for you.

Testimonials:

“Charlotte is so much more than a yoga teacher, she is a body and mental health
professional. Her holistic approach is trauma informed and totally client centred.
She’s got you !” Katie Flowers

Suitable for:

Living with pain, long covid, ME/CFS, PEM, fibromyalgia, osteoporosis, sciatica – or simply finding
that your body doesn’t always respond well to traditional yoga? A somatic approach to yoga allows you to slow down,
listen in and move in a way that respects where your body is today.
There’s no pushing through, no forcing, no expectation of what your body should be able to do. Instead, we explore small, gentle movements, rest, breath & sensation – developing a deeper awareness of your body & learning to recognise the difference
between effort & strain, discomfort & ease. You don’t need to be flexible, strong or experienced. You don’t even need to know exactly what your body needs.
