Iyengar Yoga
3rd August 2022 @ 19:00 - 20:15
About the class:
This general level class is suitable for complete beginners, as well as those with more experience. Regular practise of Iyengar Yoga will improve strength, stamina, flexibility and the ability to relax. Iyengar Yoga is known for its emphasis on accuracy, correct alignment and practising safely. Another feature is the use of props, including foam blocks, belts, and blankets. These enable students to achieve their potential in the asanas (poses).
About the teacher:
Suzy began attending Iyengar yoga classes in 2002. Since qualifying in 2011 she has taught pupils of all ages and abilities, including students from the University of the Arts and guests at Crisis’ emergency winter shelter. She says “I’ve found the practice of yoga to be a reliable and powerful tool, providing stability and resilience through all stages of life. It has made me stronger physically and emotionally, consistently reminding me of the need to develop sensitivity towards myself and the world around me.
