Yin Yoga – Mary Hatzisavva
11th August 2026 @ 10:30 - 11:30
An event every week that begins at 10:30 on Tuesday, repeating indefinitely
The practice of Yin yoga is based on ancient Chinese philosophy and Taoist principles which believes there are pathways of Qi (energy)that run through our bodies. By stretching and deepening into poses, we are opening up any blockages and releasing the energy to flow freely. It is a slower and more meditative practice, holding poses for a longer period of time- than you would in other traditional types of yoga- giving you space and time to turn inward.
Yin Yoga is not about how your Yoga looks but it is about how it feels.

WHO IS IT GOOD FOR?
Whether you are a total yoga beginner, a seasoned yogi who is new to yin yoga, or an experienced yin yoga practitioner, there is
something for everyone in this yin yoga class. Yin yoga is excellent for those dealing with injuries or a chronic condition like arthritis
or osteoporosis, as this style in particular is more restorative than other forms of exercise. Yin can also be a great starting point for
anyone interested in meditation as it has such an internal focus.
Yin yoga is not your typical sweaty, intense vinyasa flow, but that doesn’t make it any less of a workout! Give it a try!
