ABOUT THE CLASS:
Sweaty Mama is the post natal exercise class for you and your baby, toddler or pre schooler. It is a fun, effective and interactive workout with your child. You can choose to wear your baby in a sling for some of the tracks or have them on the mat next to you. The class consists of aerobic style exercises to improve cardiovascular fitness, muscular endurance exercise and conditioning exercises to gradually build strength and in core and pelvic floor muscles postnatally. We do all the exercises to fun and upbeat music
ABOUT THE TEACHER:
I have always loved sport and exercise and since being pregnant with my first child, I began to realise that I knew nothing about what exercises I could or could not do during pregnancy. I then went back to exercising very quickly after having a C-Section, with limited knowledge that I could have caused some damage. I have been a PE teacher for 11 years and have loved helping others to be passionate about exercise, health and well-being. I now want to build on that and help women understand that exercising pre and postnatally can have a massive beneficial impact on their pregnancy, their child birth as well as their physical and mental well being post-birth.
I was attracted to Sweaty Mama because it embeds all the values that I have, which is that exercise should be fun, safe and effective. It should provide an opportunity to meet like-minded people and it should not be restricted to people who can afford childcare. I love the fact that babies and children can work out with you and also learn to enjoy being active with their mum.
Level 3 Qualification in adapting exercise to ante and post natal clients (YMCA), Level 2 Exercise to Music (HFE), Safe Baby Wearing (Active IQ)

£40 for 6 sessions payable in advance of the first class
