August 24 @ 19:00 - 20:15
An event every week that begins at 19:00 on Wednesday, repeating until 31st August 2022
Charlie has practised yoga for over a decade and is passionate about teaching. She believes yoga, if practiced with sincerity, has the power to transform those who practise it. She could not imagine her life without it.
In her early 30s, Charlie lived in India studying Iyengar Yoga with senior teacher, Usha Devi and Vedanta with Devi’s son, Siddhartha Krishna. Whilst there, she immersed herself in Indian philosophy and the Sanskrit language and travelled to Pune to study directly with the Iyengar family.
This connection with her teachers India informs her teaching approach. She tries to keep true to the essence of the way Iyengar Yoga is taught there.
What people say –
“I have been studying yoga with Charlie for over three years now…Charlie gets me to challenge myself, to be disciplined and focussed in my practice. I love her approach; she is firm but with a light touch. She intersperses detailed instructions, benefits & analysis of asanas with snippets of Indian philosophy. I always come off the mat with a big smile on my face.” Lucy
“I’ve always enjoyed yoga, but never had a teacher which made me feel the practice was essential until I met Charlie. I adore classes with her, which are interesting and fun, and about so much more than just the poses…Charlie’s a stickler for correct form – but on a personalised, individual basis – and takes time to learn each student’s unique limitations. Since we have been working together my body feels better, as does my mind.” Nicole
